Agilum takes the spotlight in new ASHP article, “Real-world Data Used to Help Predict Demand for Drug Inventory During Pandemic”
A new feature article in ASHP highlights the importance of real-world data (RWD) to help predict drug demand for the treatment of COVID-19. Hospitals are facing serious challenges as they adapt to the unpredictable disruption of the drug supply chain, and Agilum’s real-world data is enabling them to tackle drug supply issues before they affect patient care.
The article focuses on the dramatic increase in the use of supportive therapy drugs that were in high demand in New York as hospitals experienced a surge of COVID-19 cases.
“We want to help as many people as we can,” says Dawn DeAngelo, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Agilum. “What makes this unique is the ability, in a crisis such as this, to look at the data and understand the stressors on the supply chain.”
