Perissinotti, PharmD, BCOP, Hematology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist and adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan. The panel members explored the shifting landscape of treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia, discussed the emerging treatment options for new and recurring patients, and offered insight into assisting patients in navigating the complex financial issues associated with this disease.
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is one of the most common forms of leukemia and primarily affects older adults. Over the years, treatments have evolved from traditional chemotherapy agents with their associated toxicities to more targeted therapies which are better tolerated by patients leading to an improved quality of life.
The Pharmacy Times presentation, “Bringing Concepts to Practice: The Rapidly Evolving Treatment Landscape for CLL, featuring Challenging Case Discussions,” is available on-demand. Register now to get full access to the panel discussion and obtain CE credit.
